Workshops and Ongoing Programs

Ceramic Painting

Participants design and paint a breakfast set, discussion includes the importance of hydration and eating breakfast.​

Aspirational Vision Boards

This workshop provides each participant with a journal and asks them to consider their strengths and hopes for their future.

Therapeutic Art Workshops

Get ready to create, explore, and have fun! In these 2-hour workshops (perfect for during or after school), students will design their very own functional art piece while playing with colour and expressing their emotions in a relaxed, supportive space. Choose from two exciting options: Functional Art or Therapeutic Colour Boards - both inspired by the magic of neuroaesthetics. Best of all, everything you need is provided!

Once Upon A Time Project

Step into a world of imagination and storytelling! This magical workshop brings stories to life through props, creativity, and playful exploration of words and language. With the help of Henry the Thera-Puppy, children will enjoy a warm, engaging experience that sparks curiosity and a love of storytelling 

Sensory Tool Kits

This workshop uses sewing and fabric design to create a case to store figit tools. We discuss and name different emotions.

Book Club

This Lunch time session, builds a foundation for a love of books and reading, It encompasses speaking and presentation skills, drama games and fun in literacy.

Music Makers (Drumming & Percussion)

Let’s make some noise—in the best way possible! In this lively 1-hour workshop, children explore a variety of instruments while creating rhythms together through movement, games, and musical fun. It’s a fantastic way to build listening skills, teamwork, and focus. Plus, drumming helps wake up both sides of the brain—boosting learning readiness while having a blast!

Visual Arts Workshops

Each participant uses a range of multimedia applications to create a visual representation of a place they feel safe.​​

Sensory / Messy Play Trays

This workshop delivers an early years /  key stage sensory experience to improve fine and gross motor skills, encourages sharing, communication and problem solving.

Trays include sand and building, gloop , water and marine life shaving foam and hidden treasures, earth and natural materials, slime or Playdough and tools, Grains and spoons and vessels. All trays can be themed to curriculum subjects

For Girls

These feel-good, empowering workshops are thoughtfully designed to suit each group’s interests and needs. Using fun, engaging activities as conversation starters, students can connect, share, and explore topics that matter to them in a safe and supportive environment—all while building confidence and wellbeing.

Story Time

This workshop delivers a story time session that takes you on a journey with Henry.

 

Henry's holiday is a new experience! How will he overcome all the big emotions he is encountering. The story is for children and parents and introduces emotional regulation and co-regulation skills.

Ed U Play programs have been highly impactful for our students, offering structured, evidence-based learning experiences that strengthened their resilience, emotional regulation, confidence, and readiness for school.
